Tallahassee Treasures

During my time in Tallahassee, I participated in a group blog project for my Social Media Management course. Together my group decided to experience the hidden treasures of Tallahassee taking a dive into culinary musings creating a blog called Tallahassee Treasures. The mission of Tallahassee Treasures was to seek out various local restaurants in Tallahassee, review them and share our personal thoughts all in hopes of making it less stressful for our readers to visit these local establishments for the first time. You can see the whole blog here.

The blog posts I contributed to this collaborative blog where about local favorites such as:

If you’d like to check out the original proposal for Tallahassee Treasures you can see it here

Tallahassee Treasures did not stop at blog content creation. We also ran social media accounts in order to promote our blog posts, including Twitter and a Facebook Page. You can view what type of posts we created here (keep in mind we’ve let Tallahassee Treasures go inactive after the conclusion of our class):

At the conclusion of our class, we were tasked with complying our final thoughts on the project. Our Final Thoughts included what went well, what could have improved and our overall experience of running a blog with corresponding social media accounts to promote it. Personal thoughts supported by analytics helped us analyze ROI and ultimate successes of the project overall.

You can review my final thoughts on the project and blogging experience here:
