Evergreen Lodge at Yosemite

Part of my role at the Evergreen Lodge was content creation for lodge’s blog, housed on the website. This content was often re-purposed for social media posts or email campaign story line. Often time the content is original, but I did introduce guest blog posts to the blog roll by partnering up with influencers and leveraging their unique authentic experiences into meaningful content that we can associate with a special that the lodge was currently offering.

Here are just a few samples of the blog posts I created for the lodge:

Yellow-Bellied Marmots: Yosemite’s Groundhog

For Groundhog’s Day, I created a campaign centered around one of Yosemite’s furry friends that directed back to the lodge’s guided tours and hikes. By playing on the fun nature of the day and providing entertaining information, I was able to indirectly generate buzz about the variety of guided adventures a guest could take advantage of during their stay at the lodge.

Why You Need to Visit Yosemite in the Fall

This is a great example of the guest blog posts, I introduced to the blog roll during my time at the lodges. Here we have an influencer’s perspective on why fall is the ideal time to visit Yosemite, where I integrated mention of the fall specials to further encourage fall bookings at the lodge.

Yosemite Gateway Partners Show the Way with #YosemiteNOW

Here we have a post about a collaborative campaign centered around #YosemiteNOW to help potential visitors to see the current conditions in Yosemite rather than the negative stories that were circulating among news outlets during California’s 2018 fire season.

Why #BookDirect?

In this post, I highlighted the ‘perks’ of booking directly with the lodge, rather than a third party site like Expedia, to bring awareness to potential guests. This was integrated in a social media campaign for Book Direct day, where we experienced a 15% increase in direct booking as a result.
